FreshlyPour started years ago as a simple tribute to Starbucks.
I’ve always liked how Starbucks builds a brand — the consistency, the product storytelling, the way it made coffee feel like a lifestyle. Back then, it was also a little bit of an “unavailable” brand for us, which made it even more interesting. I wrote about the drinks, the sizes, the recipes, the calories… and yes, even about the moment Starbucks finally arrived in Slovakia.
But coffee is a much bigger world than one chain.
Over time, Starbucks stopped being this distant, iconic thing and became a normal part of everyday life — including mine. And as my taste evolved, I started reaching for something else: a clean 100% single-origin arabica from a local roastery, brewed at home the way I like it.
That’s what FreshlyPour is today: still respectful of coffee culture and coffee brands, but more focused on what actually matters — great beans, better brewing, and a deeper understanding of what’s in your cup.
Because if coffee is becoming more scarce (and more expensive), it makes no sense to drink bad coffee.
